SIGN UP TO JUNIOR BOYS CRICKET
Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club offers Junior Cricket for ages U9s to U18s. U9s and U10s is played with a softer ball on a shorter pitch, and with modified rules such as if you're out, you're not actually out. From U11s onwards a leather ball is used, and you can get out. In U11s players still play on a shorter pitch and lbws aren't played. From U12 onwards it is a full pitch and lbws are in play. The U13-U18 competition is done in divisions, therefore teams are ‘graded’ by not only their age but also their skill level with cricket being a very skill based game.

Games
Junior Cricket Games are on Saturday mornings from 8am to approximately midday, with warm ups starting at 7:15 - 7:30am. Your team manager will advise the team of game details and how to access the draw. Due to the popularity of cricket within the district, competitions may schedule afternoon games to meet demand. These games usually go from 1-4:30pm.
Age Groups
The player's age at 31 August determines their relevant age group. For example, if the player is 9 years old or under on the 31st of August, then they are eligible to play Under 10s. Based on ability, players can play up in age groups, however, that requires approval from the club. Female players can play down up to two age groups. We endeavour to keep members with their friends to enhance the enjoyment of the players. For any grading and team placement requests, please indicate on the registration form.

The Pathway to Senior and Grade Cricket with Wynnum Manly D.C.C
Wynnum Manly Junior Cricket is part of the Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club, which is one of the twelve Clubs with teams in the Queensland Premier Grade Cricket Competition. The Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club presently has a team in each of the six grades, and an U17 boys team playing in the Lord Taverners competition, an Under 16 boys team playing in the Brisbane Metro Cup (BMC), an Under 15 boys team playing in the SEY Cup, Over 40s and Over 50s teams, and teams in the Warehouse competition. As Wynnum junior cricketers develop their cricketing skills, notch up some significant performances and grow in size and maturity, they are provided with opportunities to play senior cricket whilst they are still juniors and to train with the men. This greatly eases their way into senior cricket and it often helps to ensure that they continue to play cricket after leaving school. For more information, please contact us.
